Questions

Straight answers.

The stuff barbers actually ask before they say yes. If yours isn't here, just text me.

How much does it cost?

Websites start at $49/mo with $0 down (drops to $29/mo after the first year), or $249 one-time plus $29/mo if you'd rather pay setup up front. Stand-alone services — booking setup, Google profile, the in-chair review QR — start at $29. Same prices for every shop, no quotes, no games.

Full breakdown is on the Services page. About two new clients a month covers the whole thing.

Do I own the website?

Yes. The domain is registered in your name and it's yours to keep. I build it, host it, and keep it running — but the site and the name are yours, not rented from some platform that can change the rules on you.

I already have Booksy. Why do I need this?

Most barbers do — but Booksy is a booking tool, not a home base. A site puts your Booksy, your Google reviews, and your Instagram in one place that shows up when someone Googles your name.

I'll also check that your Booksy is set up the way Google wants it. Half of them aren't, and it affects whether you show up in "barber near me." No charge to look.

My Instagram is basically my website. Why pay for this?

Keep the Instagram — it's the best place to show your work, and your site links straight to it. But Instagram doesn't come up when someone Googles your name, the algorithm decides who sees your posts, and there's no booking button sitting at the top.

Your site is the one page you actually control: your work, your prices, your reviews, and a book-now button — and Google can find it.

Honestly, do I even need a website?

Maybe not for your regulars. But when someone hears about you and Googles your name, what comes up? If it's nothing, you lose those people. A site fixes that — one page with your work, your hours, and a button to book.

Will this actually get me new clients?

I won't promise you a number — anyone who does is selling you. What I can promise: right now, people are searching for a "barber near me" in your area, and if you don't show up, those cuts go to whoever does. The site, the Google profile, and the reviews make sure you show up and instantly build trust needed to book an appointment.

The math is on your side — at these prices, about two new clients a month pays for everything. Most barbers clear that on Google searches alone.

Is this free? What's the catch?

Not free — the monthly keeps it honest and means I actually support and maintain it instead of building it and disappearing. There's no hidden catch. The $0-down option is a 12-month commitment, then month-to-month; pay setup up front instead and there's no commitment at all. Either way, you know the exact price before we start — it's all on the Services page.

What do you need from me?

About 20 minutes, total. Photos of your work, your services and prices, and your booking link. That's it — I build the site, you look it over, we tweak it until you're happy, and it goes live.

You never touch a website builder or a settings page. If you can text, you can do this.

What if I don't have good photos?

Phone photos work — that's what most of my barbers use. I'll tell you exactly what to shoot: a quick photo after each cut you're proud of, near a window or under good light. A week of that is more than enough to launch, and we can swap in better shots anytime.

How long does it take to get my site live?

7–10 business days for the website once you send me your content (photos, services, booking link). Booksy setup is about 48 hours and Google profile work is about 72 hours. I'll give you a clear date when we start — and if I'm ever running behind, you'll hear it from me first.

I changed my prices or hours. Who updates the site?

I do. Text me the change and it's handled — your monthly includes up to two content updates a month (new prices, new hours, fresh photos, a new service), which covers just about everyone. Anything bigger than that, I'll quote it up front before touching anything.

Can clients pay deposits? I'm tired of no-shows.

Yes — deposits and no-show protection run through your booking app, and Booksy and Square both support them. Most barbers just never turn it on. When I do your booking setup, I'll get it configured the right way so flakes pay a deposit and your serious clients barely notice.

What if I switch shops or go independent?

Your site is built around you — your name, your work, your booking — not the shop's address. If you move chairs, we update the location and your clients still find you at the same web address. The brand follows you.

Do you work with whole shops, or just individual barbers?

Both. Most of my work is with individual barbers and chair renters, because the site is built around your name and follows you wherever you cut. But if you own a shop and want one site for the whole team, text me — that's a conversation, not a problem.

What happens after the 12-month commitment?

Your price drops. The higher monthly on the $0-down option is just spreading the setup cost over the first year — once that's paid off, you move to the same regular rate as everyone else: $29/mo for The Website, $49/mo for Total Champ. Month-to-month from there, cancel anytime.

What if I want to cancel?

If you paid setup up front, cancel the monthly anytime. If you took the $0-down option, it's month-to-month after the first 12 months — that commitment is what covers the setup you didn't pay for. Either way, no long contracts hiding in the fine print.

If I cancel, what happens to my site?

The domain is yours — it's registered in your name, and you keep it. When you cancel, I hand over the site files so you or anyone else can host them wherever you like. Hosting through me ends at the close of your billing period, and I'll point your domain wherever you tell me. No hostage situations.

Who are you? This isn't some agency overseas?

It's me, Michael — I'm in the US, and I work with barbers. You text me, I answer; not a help desk in another time zone. Totally fair to be skeptical of someone reaching out, so I'll do a free draft first. Judge the work before you decide anything.

Still have a question? Text me your shop — I'll give you a straight answer, no pressure.
